Current Release: The Huntress of Thornbeck Forest

What's your book about?

It's a romance set in medieval Germany. A mash-up of Robin Hood and Swan Lake, the heroine poaches the margrave's deer in the forest by night, and is a wealthy eligible maiden in town by day, who just happens to be falling in love with the margrave's forester, whose job it is to throw poachers in the dungeon.

What's next for you as an author?

The second book in my Thornbeck/Medieval Fairy Tale series is a Princess and the Pea story in which the powerful Margrave of Thornbeck falls in love with a maidservant. Avelina was forced to pretend she was the Earl of Plimmwald's daughter, and the margrave chose her over 9 noble ladies. He is not happy. But before that, the next book in my Hagenheim/fairy tale romance series comes out in Nov. It's a Rapunzel story called The Golden Braid. :-)

If you could have dinner with an author, who would it be?

I'd love to meet Jane Austen and have dinner with her, although I'd be nervous she might put me in one her books and make fun of me, like poor Miss Bates or Mr. Collins! What would I look like as a secondary character in a Jane Austen book? Then again, maybe she'd make me a heroine and give me a hero like Mr. Darcy or Captain Wentworth! Totally worth the risk!

If you could travel to another time, would you choose past or future or would you stick where you are at? And Why?

Medieval Europe is my favorite time period. I'd love to visit, to see the castles and knights and flowing dresses. I wouldn't want to stay too long, however, since I'd miss flushing toilets and running water!

Do you feel music has inspired your writing?

A couple of my books, The Fairest Beauty and The Captive Maiden, were plotted while I listened to Taylor Swift songs, particularly "Love Story" and "Enchanted." I also frequently write while listening to my Andrea Bocelli CDs. The Italian doesn't interfere with my thought process, since I don't understand it, but the sound is so romantic!

Are you an introvert or extrovert?

It's hard to say. Sometimes I feel like an introvert. I feel nervous meeting new people and trying to talk in a party setting, mingling with a lot of people I don't know or barely know. But when I feel comfortable, I can talk and talk and laugh and talk some more. It seems to depend on the situation.

What should readers expect from you titles?

Expect a sweet, emotional, romantic story with historical accuracy, a spiritual thread, and a happy ending.

Wrapping Up:

I love and appreciate my readers so much! Thanks for all the kind messages on facebook, twitter, and my website! God bless!
