Hi Megan, Thanks for joining us today on Night Owl Reviews. We are excited to hear about "Black Mountain Magic". What is this first book in the Kentucky Haints series about?
Lorena Mills, an unpracticed witch who works for a government agency, finds herself in the small Appalachian town of Blue Ditch, Kentucky, where a supernatural threat is taking place. There she meets handsome and brash Deacon Kelley--a Lycan who is about to shake her world up, and won't behave himself.
What should readers expect from you titles?
Humor, romance, lots of sexiness, and always something paranormal or spooky!
What's next for you as an author?
I'm working on completing the Kentucky Haints series, and also thinking about a contemporary romance series, more on the erotic side this time.
Do you feel music has inspired your writing?
Yes. I love music and I always have it on when I'm writing. I make playlists for my books and seek out songs that inspire stories.
What's your day job like?
I work as a bartender in an airport lounge, so every day is something different. I meet lots of interesting people and hear plenty of stories. I've been a bartender/server for a lot of years and it's a fast-paced job that takes a certain personality. I love it.
What is your favorite or most fun place to shop online?
I love windchimes, and I could spend all my money at Woodstock Chimes. http://www.chimes.com/ You can even listen to how each chime sounds on their site.
What technological advancement could you not live without?
The laptop! I used to write in notebooks, then on an old-fashioned typewriter, and then eventually on an electric typewriter, a word processor, and finally a computer. I wouldn't go back to those old days for anything--things are much easier now. I'm showing my age here!
Anything else you would like to share?
Cats make great writing companions!
LOL. Thanks for the advice. We've been thinking about getting a cat. It's been great having you over.
Thank you so much for checking out my interview!
