Hi Falguni Kothari! It's awesome to have you over. First off, what's your latest release?
My Last Love Story
What's your book about?
A logline of my book would read like this: Three friends. Two promises. One unforgettable love story. My Last Love Story explores the themes of love, loss and relationships.
What should readers expect from your titles?
Lots and lots of feels. Expect to learn about India and its culture and its people, both modern and mythical. I also write about life in the Indian diaspora. And I do all of that with a touch of humor.
What is your favorite way to procrastinate?
Binge-watching TV. I am currently hooked on Damages, Outlander (Season 2), GoT (new season—and I am positive, POSITIVE that Jon Snow will be resurrected! He has to!), and a lot of Bollywood movies. I also easily get distracted by social media and post inane things on Twitter and FB.
If you could have dinner with an author, who would it be?
My current favorite author is Karen Marie Moning. I have just binged-read her Fever Series, and I am experiencing paranormal-type withdrawal symptoms as I wait for the final book to release in 2017. I also want to pick her brain for series arc trajectories and how to merge different storylines into one over-arcing plot. Talk shop, in other words.
Which authors do you follow religiously?
Diana Gabaldon, Nora Roberts/ JD Robb, Devdutt Pattanaik, Megan Hart, and lately, Karen Marie Moning, Nalini Singh and Sonali Dev.
Are you an introvert or extrovert?
I am both in parts. I am an introvert when I first enter a room or meet someone new, but as I get more comfortable with the surroundings and if I have something to say, I get gregarious. Though, as an author I am learning to switch from one to the other pretty quickly.
What's next for you as an author?
I have recently signed a three-book deal in India for my mythic fantasy series. Book 1 or Soul Warrior is already available worldwide, and will soon be available in South Asia too. I am working on Book 2 of that series.
Thanks for coming and sharing with us all.
