5 Reasons to Put Book Lovers Con 2020 on Your Calendar This Year, From Jennie Marts, Author of Wish Upon a Cowboy
Hi all! I’m so excited to stop in to celebrate the release of my new book, WISH UPON A COWBOY. It’s the fourth book in the Creedence series of hockey-playing cowboys.
Logan and Harper’s story has a hot cowboy, a sassy heroine, an adorable eight year old boy, a marshmallow-eating cow, a feisty kitten, and a Christmas miracle at its heart. It received a STARRED Review from Booklist calling it a “smart and delicious romance” and Publishers Weekly claims “...Able plotting, red-hot sex, and a large dollop of sweetness make this holiday charmer ideal all year round.”
It’s a perfect romance-reading treat to give yourself for the holidays!
Another gift to give yourself is a registration to Book Lovers Con 2020 in March in Nashville! I went last year and couldn’t wait to register again for this year’s event! It is so much fun!
Here’s my Top 5 reasons to put BLC on your calendar this year:
The Friendships! This conference is such a great place for readers and authors to connect. As authors, we LOVE the chance to get to meet and talk to the people who read our books and love our stories! I know my heart grows three sizes when a reader tells me how much they adore Colt James or think that Rockford James is their favorite book boyfriend. And it is just amazing to be around a group of other people who adore books and reading the way you do. It’s finding your tribe and connecting with others who just GET IT!
The Books! Plan to leave extra room in your suitcase, because there are so many opportunities to get free books! And most of them will accompany a chance to meet the author and have them sign the book for you. Plus there is a giant book fair and signing so you won’t miss out on meeting any of your favorite authors.
The Games! Three days of playing games and cracking up with your favorite authors and other readers—yes, please! You can find me in Cards Against Contemporary, which I’m sure will get hysterical, followed by a book signing where I’ll be giving away close to 50 books! There are games and workshops for lovers of every genre—small town, paranormal, mystery, historical, whatever you love –they’ve got an event to celebrate, to grab swag, and to connect with others.
The Parties! I adore the nightly parties—so much fun and something for everyone! If you love to dress up, grab your fairy wings and get to the Faery and Fantasy Gathering. If you don’t, it’s still a great place to people watch and cheer on your favorites. There will be music, food, tutus, tiaras, and a Tennessee Twilight conga line to kick off the event! Every event is relaxed and feels like a giant night out with your closest pals.
The Venue! I mean, it’s Nashville! Yay! What a gorgeous place full of so much creativity and talent! I know I’m certainly hoping to run into Faith Hill and Tim McGraw and figure out how my hubby and I can become their best friends. And the convention center itself looks incredible! The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center is next door to the Grand Ole Opry and has three pools, indoor gardens, shopping, over a dozen dining options, and a Riverboat Ride! What fun!
Well, now I’m really excited (if you couldn’t already tell by my copious use of a million exclamation marks)! Book Lovers Con 2020 is March 18-22, 2020, and this is one event you don’t want to miss! Put it on your Christmas list or heck, just give it to yourself as a gift—you deserve it!
And while you’re in the Christmas mood, grab your copy of WISH UPON A COWBOY! It’s a tear-jerking, smile-inducing, panty-melting, hot cowboy story that is the perfect way to curl up with a cowboy on a cold winter night! I hope you love it!
I’d love to hear what you think of the book and if you’re planning to attend BLC in Nashville! Hoping for both!
Wish Upon a Cowboy - Cowboys of Creedence Book 4
Hot on the ice and tall in the saddle...
Rancher and hockey coach Logan Rivers' attempts to hire a housekeeper are hindered by women more interested in marriage than meal-planning. So when snarky Harper Evans arrives with zero romantic interest in him, he couldn't be happier. But as he gets to know her, he finds himself hungering for more than her cooking.
Down-on-her-luck single mom Harper Evans came to Colorado with one goal: to find her son and bring him home. Temporary work for a local rancher seems perfect, but to keep the job she has to deny her feelings for the hot cowboy who's heating up her kitchen.
Logan's secret learning disability has caused a financial mistake that could cost him everything. With the holidays approaching and a storm closing in, he and Harper have to save his ranch and fight for her son. But can Harper trust the cowboy who is offering her both a home—and his heart?
