The Wasatch Mountains Harbor: More Than Just Wolves and Bears... by Kimbra Townsend #LettersFromtheAuthors
Happy Romance Week Everyone!
My new series Wasatch Mountains is a romance suspense located deep in the rugged mountains of Utah. There are tall, muscular mountain-bred men, wild animals, and dark mysterious forests. Add two city girls trying to get away from high rises and large crowds. Mix in a couple of mysterious break-ins and an attempted murder and you've got a fun adventure romance in the mountains.
The female lead is a self-help author looking for a quiet place to write her next book. But instead of finding a serene mountain retreat, Elizabeth unknowingly allows a stalker the freedom not only to observe her without detection but to get close enough to kill.
Elizabeth moves from St Louis across the nation to the mountain property her late uncle left her in Utah. It sounds like the perfect place to write. She hires Joshua Taylor, a local construction company owner to build her home. Sparks fly when they meet. Elizabeth is stunned to discover his slightest touch rockets her pulse and leaves her wanting more. Josh looks more like a lumberjack out of some romance novel than a residential builder. More importantly, he’s the complete opposite of the corporate suits she usually goes tor. But there was something about Josh she just couldn’t resist.
In fact, Josh’s honest country, take me as you see me attitude threatens to ruin the relationship rules Elizabeth spent the last few years selling to the world. Thousands of women now believed, as she did, that everyone shows a fake personality when they meet a new love. Everyone hides their true inner self and tries to pretend to be the person they believe their new love desires. After all it's only second nature to try to paint a pretty picture for your new romantic partner.
Elizabeth’s fascination with Josh quickly spins out of control. She ignores everything else in an attempt to prove Josh is not the fantastic guy he appears to be. Elizabeth's so certain her romance rules are right and Josh is a fake, she misses the warning signs that should have sent chills up her spine. Signs she should have easily seen. Signs that would have warned her that all of their lives were in danger.
