Katie Ruggle's Island of Misfit Dogs + #Bookgiveaway
I call my house the Island of Misfit Dogs. Why? Let me tell you…
This is Wile E. Coyote (Wiley), Roadrunner (Roadie), and Camille (Cam). Between naps, they like to bark and dig holes. And bark. And eat bacon. And bark.
Roadie and Wiley went to herding lessons for a while. They didn’t do very well, but I was hopeful their inner sheepdog would eventually come out…until the day Roadie wandered away from the sheep, following a butterfly like the poster child for canine ADD.
They don’t go to herding lessons anymore.
Cam is a livestock guardian, in charge of watching over the chickens. The only problem is that when the coyotes start yipping in the distance, Cam runs inside and hides under the bed.
If my life was in danger, I’m sure my dogs would rescue me. Probably. Unless there was a squirrel nearby. Or coyotes. Or a butterfly.
It’s probably more likely that I’d be saved by my cat, Smitty. Or my chickens.
It’s a good thing they’re all so cute.
