I Dream of Nashville by Sandy James #LettersFromtheAuthors
If you’ve never visited Nashville, Tennessee before, you should put a trip there on your “to do” list! The city has so much to offer, and that applies to more than just country music fans.
In researching my new Nashville Dreams contemporary romance series, I went to Nashville to learn everything I could about the city. I was amazed at the variety of things to do.
First of all, you have to go to the Wildhorse Saloon! I was so impressed with everything it had to offer that I modeled the venue Words & Music after it for my Nashville Dreams series. Whether you go for the line dancing, the incredible food (you have to have the fried pickles!), or the live music, you won’t be disappointed.
Your next stop has to be Opryland, especially if you’re a fan of country music. For those who enjoy some nostalgia, be sure and go to the State Fair Park. That area will take you back to the elephant ears and Ferris wheels of your youth.
Be sure to make time in your trip to visit the Country Music Hall of Fame. Not only is it the world’s largest music museum, it has a wonderful shopping area full of locally-made products.
Finally, don’t forget to go to the Hermitage, the home of President Andrew Jackson. Of all the things I did in Nashville, this was my favorite—no doubt because I’m a teacher. I spent hours walking the grounds and exploring the relics of that extraordinary man’s life.
I hope you enjoy your trip to Nashville! And to get more of its flavor, check out my Nashville Dreams series, three contemporary romances set in Music City.
Can't Let Her Go - Nashville Dreams, #2
In Nashville the music is louder, the dreams are bigger, and love can bring a cowboy to his knees.
Ethan Walker is Nashville royalty. Born to the King and Queen of Country Music, he's spent his life trying to escape the spotlight of his parents' fame, even walking away from his own promising singing career. He's the kind of cowboy who prefers flannel to flashbulbs, hay fields to hit records, and the solitude of his horse farm to the nightlife along Music Row. The last thing he wants is attention, especially when it comes from country's latest star...
Chelsea Harris's meteoric rise up the charts and string of celebrity boyfriends mean that wherever she goes, the paparazzi follow. A duet with Nashville's favorite son is exactly what her new charity album needs, but when she approaches Ethan, he turns her down flat. To win the camera-shy cowboy over, Chelsea will have to approach him on his terms. Trouble is, the more time she spends on his farm, the more Ethan wants to keep her there.
