My 3 Favorite Blessings, Georgia Book Covers by Sharon Sala
Covers mean a lot when a new book is released, and I absolutely adore the covers of all my Blessings books.
The people in that town, and the stories I tell about their lives are special to me. I’ve been writing them for so long that I forget they’re not real, and I say all the time that if Blessings, Georgia was a real place, I would live there.
But I was asked to pick my three favorite covers, and when I began looking through them, I realized the ones that resonated with me the most were because of the feelings they evoked.
I love the colors – and the scenes that have been set – and also, knowing and relating them to the stories within those pages.
I chose THE COLOR OF LOVE for the intimate, romantic ambiance it created – leaving me with a sense of wonder about what happens next in that couple’s life.
I chose COME BACK TO ME because the scene on the cover felt so real, that I felt as if I could just hop on that path and follow them through the twilight of that lantern-lit garden, right into happy-ever-after.
I chose A RAINBOW ABOVE US because it’s an image of hope – of the calm that comes after a storm. Life is full of storms, and the rainbows that come after them are promises of good things to come.
Writing stories for this series is my blessing. In a world full of turmoil and sadness, being able to lose myself in the sanctuary that little town offers, is always a refreshing revelation. It has become my touchstone within the world in which I write, and I hope, in some small way, the stories leave you with a feeling of hope and the belief that happy-ever-after does exist.
