Welcome everyone to this week's reviewer showcase. I picked a fun and exciting read for all our readers to enjoy this week. So let's kick it off by me telling you about: A Love Most Haunted by Helen Pilz
I loved this paranormal story right from the start. Ms. Pilz had me so engrossed from the very first page and I just couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next. I thoroughly enjoyed the author telling the story behind each haunting that occurred at Haventon Hills Manor and why the spirits were still attached to the manor years after each one of them had passed. I also enjoyed getting to know Val and each one of the team members that worked on the TV show Haunt and Seek.
I wanted Val and Ryan to tell each other how they felt for one another and I had hoped that Ms. Pilz would bring them together in the end. Overall, this was a fantastic paranormal story that can be read anytime of year.

A Love Most Haunted - Book Excerpt
Valerie Eccelston, host of the TV show Haunt and Seek
, is with the show’s ghost hunting crew to investigate and find answers to the infamous lover’s curse that has plagued Haventon Hills Manor for many years now. This manor is known to have the most beautiful gardens in all of England. Trying to rid the manor of its dooming curse, Val is joined on this investigation by Lionel Nelson, their spiritual medium and Professor Ryan Hawkins, a historian, along with the camera crew and makeup artist.
Ryan has done his research on this exquisite looking manor. He has learned that quite a bit of history has taken place here and numerous deaths throughout the years have caused this place to be haunted by five spirits that seem to be grounded there. It seems that each one has died by their own horrific means. Ryan enjoys working with the team, but most especially the TV host Val. He is attracted to her and feels she may feel the same about him. Only time will tell though if the feelings are mutual.
As the story unfolds, the team encounters each of the troubled spirits and does whatever they can to help them cross over to the afterlife. But in doing so, they all risk their own lives in trying to help these spirits achieve eternal rest.
While doing their investigation, who exactly are the spirits they’re trying to set free from their Earthly binding and why haven’t they crossed over before this? Do Val and Ryan every get the opportunity to find out truly how they feel about each other? Do they succeed at having all five spirits cross over to the other side?
I absolutely adored this paranormal story. I’m a huge paranormal fan and I loved the riveting storyline Ms. Pilz created here. The story is well written and extremely entertaining. I felt as if I was watching it unfold before me with her use of descriptive dialogue and believable characters. I immediately took a liking to both Val and Ryan and I found myself hoping that one of them would finally get the courage up to tell the other how they felt. I’m glad they had each other to lean on during this intensely spooky investigation and I just loved how the author creatively pulled everything together in the end. This is a keeper in my library and I would highly recommend it to others to read. Ms. Pilz definitely has a new fan now on her list!
