"Pedai" is a phenomenal meditation on the dynamic of friendship and on its influence over human being. Seeking out his counterpart the One, the character of the Other undergoes a substantial alteration when confronted by internal instability through common interactions. The organic nature of moral human being emerges within the dynamic narrative of pedai or "bonds." At times humorous and at times dark, "Pedai" investigates the multi-layered and at-times painful connections that humans endure with one another in friendship. The narrative of the youthful Other is continued.
A fascinating blend of fiction and philosophy. Two characters without names form Antinomy: the Other, whose life consists of difference, rejection, and learning through suffering; and the One, whose presence evokes understanding and bliss.
