I am a published author writing as L. H. Young, however I now write under the name, Lisa Hannah Wells. I prefer to write in the paranormal romance genre and am a PRO member with the RWA. I also freelance as a ghost writer/editor and find I can write in any voice as well as any genre with complete satisfaction and accuracy. I have a fresh, original voice that has finally been recognized by a reputable traditional and digital publisher. I now have the first contract on an exciting new romantic/erotic series, following a whole new race of alien creatures, their culture, language, history and the way they love that will get under your skin, into your heart and will leave you wanting more. Look for the first book in this unique series; Be Still My Lover's Heart, Book One of The Memory Maker's series.
Gypsy is from a large and loving roving troupe of gypsies traveling all over mid 15th Century Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania. Her grandmother raised her and instilled in her a love of life, the culture of their people and special dances and songs. She saved as much as possible over the years hoping to find Gypsy a respectable marriage and, thinking she has done so, asks her granddaughter to dance the Dance of Hearts for him. She does as she is asked but the man brutally rapes and beats her, leaving her for dead.
A vampire finds her as her life is ebbing away and believes her way too beautiful to waste so he turns her and teaches her a new way of life. In present day New York, she has a nice Manhattan apartment but it is nothing to her but a place to spend her days. One night she hears music that is so much like that of her mortal days coming from a Broadway musical and she cannot help but investigate. The lead dancer is a male and he makes her feel something for the first time since her birth to darkness and she goes backstage after the show to give her regards.
Michael is taken with Gypsy the moment he lays eyes on her. No woman has ever touched his soul as she does with the plain sadness in her eyes and gentleness of her soul. They become friends and cannot help but feel more for one another as they keep seeing each other. One evening, he happens across her as she is feeding and is repulsed by what she is. Gypsy was miserable before but now she is crushed. Michael returns with the realization that he loves her but he cannot find her so he places an ad in the paper with an invitation for her to join him for a special dance. After many nights, he is about to give up when he looks up to see her waiting in the shadows watching him. He tells her how much he loves her, but can she let go and dance the Dance of Hearts for him?
As a vampire, Lucius believes that he is happy alone until he meets a woman whose mind can block his psychic enticements. This intrigues him and once he sees her, he is smitten by her extraordinary beauty. She does not return the attention and has no love for the creature he is, leaving him to watch after her as she drives away giving him only a first name. But Lucius cannot get the beauty off his mind.
Debra is the beauty with hair the color of flame and eyes the shade of a brewing storm. Men everywhere have tried to claim her as their own, but she wants nothing to do with them since she can read their minds and see what they truly desire. Instead, she focuses on her career as an agent in a covert organization known as the Institute for the Study of Paranormal Phenomena. All agents have been carefully trained to use their unique psychic gifts to keep society safe from creatures most mortals believe are mythical, and also others with strong psychic gifts who use those gifts to harm others. The agency is small with only a handful of gifted team members but they operate all over the world.
Suddenly there are deaths that cannot be explained and when sent to investigate they find disturbing clues that tell them a rogue vampire is committing the crimes. Lucius discovers that this ancient one has no emotions and will not follow the newer rules that allow other immortals to co-exist with mankind. When mortals start dropping like flies including Debra’s partner, Lucius takes the initiative and involves the covens. Lucius’s love for Debra grows and she falls for him even though she doesn’t want to.
In the battle that ensues, casualties are higher than estimated and Debra will be one of them unless he turns her. Knowing how she feels about vampires, he is reluctant. Can he make that decision or will he let her go?
