Simon, the Earl of Westbridge, attends a party, never expecting to meet his destiny. A wager in a semidark room produces the kiss that almost drives him crazy. The room is too dark for Simon to see the woman he kisses. Fredericka, sister of the party host, wasn't wearing her spectacles so neither could she recognize the young man in question.
The two of them think about that kiss an awful lot. Simon goes off to inspect his country estate, while Freddy, afraid of being forced into a marriage with a man she doesn't know, flees her home.
But a matchmaker is on the prowl. She must convince Simon and Freddy that they are meant to be.
Blush sensuality level: This is a sweet romance (kisses only, no sexual content).
A gypsy predicts for Bertie a golden treasure. Tall, awkward and lacking in confidence, all she wants is a London Season. Following a series of misadventures she returns home, only to discover that everything there is different. It's little comfort to her when she discovers the new Duke of Kilnarne intends to make her his duchess. And he won't take no for an answer.
Neither Bertie nor her sister Bessie fits the mold of the perfect Regency Miss. Will true love pass them by as well?
