Author: David Andrews

David Andrews’ engineering and seagoing career spanned forty-five years and included fishing boats, paddle steamers, tugs, dredges, bulk carriers, tankers, passenger ships, supply boats and oil rigs. He was Chief Engineer, Engineering Superintendent, Lloyd’s Surveyor and Lecturer.

Coasting was his first attempt to write novel-length fiction, but it had to wait forty years to be published. It is taken from sea-going life as it was on the Australian Coastal ships of 1975.
