Alethea Williams is a Wyoming native. Willow Vale, a Wyoming State Historical Society Publications Award winner, tells of the immigrant experience of Tyroleans post-WWI. Walls for the Wind, about Irish immigrants and the orphan train movement, is a WILLA Literary Award finalist, a gold Will Rogers Medallion winner, and a first place winner at the Laramie Awards in Prairie Fiction. Her third novel, spanning the early history of Western North America, is entitled Náápiikoan Winter.
