Happily Never After

Bess George’s Happily Ever After delivers a fantastic romantic suspense story as her debut title and if this is any indication of her talent, I can't wait for her next offering. Main character Kelsey Brackton is a strong, capable woman who has been some extraordinary circumstances. I enjoyed watching her handle her personal situation. Often Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is glorified or glossed over but this author did a fantastic job of depicting Kelsey’s symptoms and how they affected her and those around her. Bode Taggert is the kind of Alpha male women dream about. His sexy, protective demeanor and hero-like occupation instantly make him noteworthy and the more I got to know him, the more I truly liked his character. The more his character is revealed, the more I wanted Bode and Kelsey to get together. They seemed perfect for one another. I enjoyed all the relationships in this story, and how closely everyone interacts towards one another. I especially loved the relationships between Kelsey and her brother, as well as Bode and his partner. If you are looking for a solid story loaded with interesting relationships and a good mystery, this is a must-read.

Career driven Kelsey Brackston is attacked and her panic attacks prevent her from returning to work. She heads to California and accepts a job from her brother. But, a move and a new job aren't going to save her when someone is trying to kill her again. Police officer Bode Taggert is determined to keep her safe.
