Review of the revised edition. This quickie erotic tale ratchets up the heat with a tale that features a charismatic bull rider and a woman who is in Las Vegas to celebrate her birthday. Their sizzling attraction to each other is only enhanced by the euphoria they experience together but their decision to indulge in a quick affair is complicated by his refusal to accept any deeper connection while she seeks for a deeper interaction than just a quick affair. A lot of emotion and angst is packed into this novella in addition to the delightfully sensual scenes and I was much more satisfied with the resolution in this edition. This was a fun read and I look forward to more in the series.
“Cowboy Jackpot: Christmas” by Randi Alexander is the first short novella in the ‘Cowboy Jackpot’ series and is set in Las Vegas just as Gieselle Colberg-Staub and Boone Hancock have a very fortuitous meeting at a slot machine. The two discover that celebrating Gieselle’s birthday together will lead them to a jackpot that neither expected, if they are only brave enough to trust each other.
A lucky first kiss in front of a Las Vegas slot machine pays off big for bull rider Boone Hancock and New York college student Gigi Colberg-Staub. During the day they spend together as VIP guests of the casino, an intense attraction develops. Throughout the night they share in the big bed of the comped suite, hot, sensual moves ignite wild climaxes.
When Gigi receives a miscommunication, she believes Boone thinks of her as one-night buckle bunny. She confronts him, but Boone convinces himself it's best for both of them if she goes on believing that, and he lets her walk out of his life. When he realizes his mistake, and then sees the sacrifice Gigi made for him, is it too late to win her back?
