The author starts off the story with a preface stating that the model on the cover is as wonderful as the character in the book. That’s just cruel!
I’ve enjoyed this series since the first book and it just keeps getting better. The author is skilled in painting the landscape of the alien planet the men hail from in my mind, and her ability to get me invested in her characters consistent. The story moved right along with only Rhia and Caelius needed to keep my attention, but the side story of Ulixes and Kallon was a long time coming. I really liked the addition to the book, especially since it satisfied my desire for them to have a happy ending. The interaction between Caelius and his comrades was both entertaining and revealing of the different facets of his personality, and let me know more about the unmated men that will surely have stories of their own soon.
Caelius is young in years but no stranger to pain. He’s watched his comrades find their mates and longs for the same. When he meets Rhia he’s sure she’s the one, but his necklace refuses to acknowledge her. Showing his lack of experience (he was a virgin when he came to earth) he goes all out to get his girl, knowing the pain he’ll experience since she doesn’t set his necklace on fire. But she does set him on fire.
Rhia is a woman of a certain age with all the wrinkles and insecurities. I don’t think I could throw my negative feelings to the side like her, but then I’m not built to wear a thong at my age. Apparently she is.
The chemistry between both couples was intoxicating to say the least, and all women should have a chance at a man like Caelius; too bad he’s not of this world. And the bonus Rhia gets at the end of the story had me alternately envious and jealous. Keep the stories coming, especially if we get more updates on previous couples and how they are doing.
Caelius Meron strips at Heat Seekers Male Revue just so he can find his mate. So imagine his shock when he finds her in a cooking class he was forced to attend. So what’s the problem? There’s twenty-two of them according to Rhia Brennan. Undaunted by her claim that he’s too young, Caelius battles every roadblock she places. But what if one may be too difficult to ignore?
Kallon Aceso knows exactly who should own his heart, but Ulixes Dionysus doesn’t appear to want it. But is it really something else buried so deep that it may keep them apart forever?
Travel with these two Insedi as they both chase their hearts' desire, only to be thwarted by misconceptions and mistakes from the past. Can they scale these insurmountable walls, or will they have to walk away and forever mourn what they could never have?
Book 5 in the Fueled By Lust Series brings back the sexy males that make your legs tremble just by saying your name.
