Hi Miranda! Thanks for stopping over and chatting about your latest book "Can't Stop Loving You". What is this book about and what is its theme?
CAN’T STOP LOVING YOU is a second-chance love story about a couple who never really got the chance to make it the first time around. It’s a story about family, friendship, and the realization that you have to be able to forgive what’s happened in the past to be able to move on to the future.
Arabella D’Angelo’s had a tough time overcoming past mistakes, but she’s built a good life for herself. She’s months away from finally being able to leave Mirror Lake for Chicago, even though her friends’ matchmaking efforts are designed to keep her in town. But even she’s not prepared when after twelve years, handsome, enigmatic Roman Spikonos returns to take over his grandfather’s orchards, which are located right next to her traditional Italian family’s garden center.
Seeing Roman awakens past heartache but also great passion. Caught once again between family and her feelings for Roman, Arabella must at last reconcile her past and see if the future can provide a second chance for a love that simply can’t be forgotten.
What should readers expect from you titles?
I write lighthearted, sexy love stories, heavy on emotion, often with deeper, more serious undercurrents, and heavy on family and friendship.
What's next for you as an author?
"The next book in my Greek brothers series will be out in the spring. I’m currently writing a series romance for Entangled Indulgence. Then it’s on to a small town series I’m writing for Grand Central’s Forever Romance line. Here’s the blurb for the first book: It’s about a serious family doctor who returns to practice in her small hometown, only to find that her ex-fiance’s best friend, the too-good-looking, womanizing man she blames for ruining her wedding, is now the town’s unavoidable police chief, and he’s hell bent on shaking up her orderly world. These books begin releasing in 2018. If you’ve enjoyed my Mirror Lake books, stay tuned! "
What is your favorite or most fun place to shop online?
Amazon book store is my crack. I try to stay off it but…you know.
Getting a book to market often takes a village. Who has helped you on the way?
I have a great personal support system of family and writer friends whom I can call upon when I’m stuck or just need someone to talk me off the cliff during all the ups and downs of this crazy career.
When I was struggling to get published, I took a how-to-write-a-novel class with New York Times Bestselling author Lori Wilde, and that made all the difference. I’ll always be indebted to her inspiration and great teaching. I was also fortunate to land a fabulous agent, Jill Marsal, who has helped guide my career.
My husband is my greatest cheerleader and an endless source of strength, plus he’s the funniest person I know. So if you like any of those funny moments in my books…he probably had something to do with them.
What is your favorite way to procrastinate?
Well, I love to read but sometimes when you’ve been staring at a computer all day you just need a break from words, so…HGTV! Nothing like a House Hunters, Property Brothers, or a Chip and Joanna Gaines fix. Those shows take me immediately out of my world, my story world, and any of the craziness of life. Focusing on fixing up homes and adorable couples house shopping is my favorite way to escape to a mindless place. Plus I guess I enjoy snooping around about how other people live (typical writer, right?).
It has been great having you over Miranda. Come again in 2017 and we can chat more.
Thanks so much for having me, Tammie!
