Hi Anastasia! Thanks for joining us on Night Owl Reviews. Please tell us about your book "Bourbon Street Burn: Sommerville Suspense".
Restaurateur Anabelle Sommerville’s nightmares lead her to haunted New Orleans to solve the mystery of her past life as sultry Belle Duville. A dashing pirate, Alain Ducoeur, is crazy about her but he’s a ghost whereas photographer Markus Cadeaux is sexy and alive. Voodoo priests, spirits and a vampire! Everyone has a secret. Clues lead to a rundown plantation. Someone wants her dead. With her sidekicks losing their kick, are Anabelle’s karate skills enough to take out the gun-toting goons gunning for her?
At what point did you know you wanted to publish a book?
After voraciously reading mystery books I wanted something more. Since I loved Cozumel and had spent many years there, I wanted to bring romance and mystery with a strong heroine to readers all over the world. That was the start of the "Adie Sturm Mystery Series".
If your home a place of order or chaos?
It's orderly enough for me to usually find whatever I need but there have been times when I "lost" things :)
What genres do you write in and what inspired you to write in these genres?
My "Adie Sturm Mystery Series" is steamy suspense. I have a second series, starting with "Havana Heat", followed by "Bourbon Street Burn" which I have called the Sommerville Suspense Series. It is steamy fantasy with a good dose of magic set in the real surroundings of Cuba and New Orleans. There are some fantasy creatures in both these books where reality is blended with fantasy.
What is our favorite drink?
I love Australian Shiraz but also like tea.
What is your writing place like?
At my cottage overlooking the lake I get to the best state of mind to create.
What's next for you as an author?
I am writing the fifth "Adie Sturm Mystery".
It's been great having you over.
Thank you readers for your interest in my books.
