Joey W. Hill gives us romance and excitement with a lot of heat in the third Daughters of Arianne book. This one is Hot, Hot, Hot and also dark. You get to really immerse yourself in this one as the characters are enthralling and powerful. If you like paranormal novels that pack heat and depth then check out Joey W. Hill. She doesn’t disappoint.
Alexis is a Merangel as her mother is a mermaid and her father is an angel. She got the best of both worlds and a bit extra to go with it. She has a special power of being able to read people and their true feelings. So when this good-looking man invades her dreams she is filled with despair and sadness and fear all at once. She can feel his emotion. Her friend Clara who has a touch of clairvoyance is worried about her but Lex tells her she will be fine.
But when Alexis wakes up in the Dark Ones world, after her dream with the sexy man goes violently wrong, she realizes it wasn’t a dream after all and she has been kidnapped. Dante who is half Vampire / half Dark One wants out of the Dark Ones world, and is using her as the key to get out. Her Godmother Mina is also half Dark One and left him there. He hasn’t forgiven her for that and knows she will try and save Alexis. His message to Mina is to let him out and he will release Lex.
Dante doesn’t know everything about his vampire side, and when he marks Lex for the third time he doesn’t realize the true nature of what he has done. Will he be able to get out of his prison and walk free in the human world? What will become of Lex? Will she be able to appeal to him and show him how things can be?
