A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Tigger9

The Night is Mine was an absolutely amazing book. I loved all of the action and the characters. This book is written extremely well and has plenty of fire in it. From the very first page it draws you in and completely holds your attention until the last page. Mark is Emily's commanding officer and they have denied their feelings from the very beginning. Emily is the first female to make it into SOAR and she is the best. She has impressed everyone that she works with and flies with. Emily gets called back to the states out of nowhere and neither Emily nor Mark are happy with it. Emily has to deal with it because she is under orders and it is an old friend asking for help, and the fact that that friend is now president doesn't help. Mark has not been told why she was moved and thinks that it might have something to do with him. Mark decides to take time off to figure out what Emily is doing so he goes undercover. Emily has become the First Lady's head chef and is given orders to protect her and try and find out who is attempting to kill her.

The plot in this story keeps you guessing the entire time. There are times where you think you know who it is but then you change your mind. The romance and relationship between Mark and Emily blends seamlessly into the storyline and nothing is out of place. There is very little sex and what there is is not very explicit. There are plenty of emotions in this story between all of the characters. This was a great first book for a new series and I cannot wait for the next one to come out.
