A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Tigger9
A Swithin Spin: A Princely Passion was an enjoyable read. Both Kilan and Antal are unsure of themselves, they have lost most of their self-confidence though for different reasons. Antal is out of sorts and does not know why. He is trying to figure it out but starts doubting himself because of it. Kilan does not think that other people see him for who he really is and has tried to learn to deal with it. Kilan has a thing for Antal and starts to worry about him when he realizes how far off Antal is.
When Antal takes his journey to try and find his inner peace again, Kilan follows him, without Antal knowing, at least at first. By doing this their relationship gets started. When they come back to the palace two days after they started the relationship both are confused with their feelings and are still soul searching. As the two try to figure things out the one thing they know for certain is their desire for each other. As the relationship progresses, both are still confused but know that they care for each other.
The feelings in this story are very genuine and draw you in very easily. The confusion adds to the genuine feeling, rather than being offsetting. Kilan and Antal have to deal with what they expect of themselves and what others expect of them. They are trying to find their niche in the world, their happiness as the stress grows. The ending to this story is happy and I would read other Swithin novels.

Book Blurb for A Princely Passion
Genre: BDSM LGBT Futuristic Fantasy
Length: Novel
Antal loves his life and is proud not only to be in charge of a regiment of guards but also to act as a personal protector, bodyguard, to a good friend. Alas, he’s young to carry so much responsibility and has to accept that even the most dedicated person needs time off. He needs something new and different in his life but doesn’t know what...or whom.
Kilan is a Swithin prince -- the only one now that his brother is king -- but although he’s happier than he’s ever been, he’s always been mischievous. He’d rather do what he likes than what others say is right. He hates the responsibility of duty and is always on the lookout for a little fun...and lately, Antal has certainly started to look like he might be fun!
They believe they have nothing in common aside from a physical attraction, until they realize they both share the weight of responsibility. Maybe they deserve to spend some time in each other’s arms. What Kilan doesn’t realise is that Antal doesn’t know how to be anything but dominant...until it’s too late...and Antal has more experience in many things than the young prince, who may secretly be submissive.
Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: BDSM elements, dubious consent, male/male sexual practices, violence.
