A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Terri
Gotta have it is a collection of 69 really short stories, or in other words, 69 quickies. Each is written by a different author which gives you a chance to check out their writing style but doesn't commit you to a long drawn out story if you hate it but wets your taste buds if you love it. The stories are no longer than 1200 words or basically approximately 4 pages. Some of the authors are talented enough to actually get a whole story in that short amount of space. Most set up a single scene in which they tease you, the reader. Of course, their characters also do a bit of teasing with each other too! There is no set "couple" or main characters. For some the main character is one who is viewing what is happening though most have the main characters doing the actions. Young, old, somewhere in between, married, single, or something else, there is no correct main character as they can all be one. One thing that can be said about all of the stories is the authors strived for hot sex and they achieved their goal. Don't even think that you are going to get teased and let down. These authors put it all out there and everything is exposed! So, as in most books of this type, I loved some of the stories, hated others and most fell in the middle. I was introduced to several new to me authors and I might even check out a few of their longer works. Unfortunately, a few made it to my I never want to read anything from this person again. You know what, that's okay too because there were a lot of stories to read. With this many stories, you can read one a week and still have stories left or one a day and make it more than two months. Most can set you up for some great daydreaming and a many can give you some ideas of how to spend an afternoon. If you like quickies and like checking out a lot of authors, get this book. Word of warning, you may find yourself hot, bothered and looking at people in a whole different way.
