A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Stesha

Victorian London.

Abel, a vampire, walks the streets of Victorian London in search of his next meal. Soon, he discovers he’s not the only blood-thirsty creature haunting the bleak streets. Jack the Ripper is in full force, mutilating unsuspecting victims and terrorizing London.
It’s not long before Abel discovers the true identity of The Ripper. Now he must decide if he has enough of a conscience to unmask The Ripper or simply disappear forever from London and leave behind the ugliness.

In a time when the market is heavily saturated with vampire tales, Scarlet Blackwell provides us with a refreshing twist of horror. This short tale is slick and icy cold. The setting is vivid and well defined. You’ll see the squalor of the mean streets of Victorian London in your mind. The character of Abel is intriguing enough to make me hope for a future installment. A Vampire in Whitechapel is a recommended read for any fan of vampires and the horror genre.
