Josh Daniels is an architect and he is upset that Warwick Manor is being torn down. A woman has contacted him about working on a new shopping mall. He is soon on his way to Lexington as Christmas approaches. Amanda and Josh meet…again. Years ago he left her and her town, but now they are back together again. Amanda also has a daughter named Emma who she had with a boyfriend who died in a car accident.
Both of them have been spending time together with the disapproval of Amanda’s friend Luc who has helped with Emma and everything that has happen. They actually get intimate and are thinking about getting back together. But Amanda is afraid that Josh is going to leave again and is being resistant. Also Josh wants Amanda and Emma to move back with him to Kansas City, much to her displeasure.
Will Amanda finely find happiness?
I liked the characters of Amanda and Josh. Their slow building relationship was a blessing and how they interacted. The addition of Emma and Luc added to this story. Amanda’s resistance also played a part in making this title feel believable. The bits of Christmas thrown in set the mood and atmosphere. A truly fun and enjoyable story.
