A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Sandra
Melissa Smith is on a quest to bring Magnus Montmorency to justice for the murder of a friend, but she doesn't count on finding Rafferty Powell there as well or discovering that neither man is who they appear to be. The two have been fighting a challenge for many years and Rafferty isn't happy when he finds out that Melissa is his Firestorm and it's such an inconvenient time. He also never expected to find that her will to bring Magnus down matched his own. When their existence as Dragons comes to the public light will it all come crashing down or will it be for the good? Darkfire Kiss was a really good addition to the Pyr storyline and the action in the book made for an exciting read. Melissa's vulnerability and sadness made my heart ache for her and the strength of Rafferty's conviction that he wanted to help her thru her past hurts made for a tender love story. The action and the main plotline were memorable. The adding of a few more characters along the way made it a bit confusing. I hope future books will help with this. I happily recommend this one as well as the rest of the series.
