Cassandra Powell comes to Groom Lake, also known as Area 51, military base to take over as the head of clinical Psychology. She is also the daughter of the General who runs PMI, Private Military Intelligence. He had the soldiers injected with what they believed was an immunization shot, but what was is really a serum that was created using alien DNA. Now the soldiers are stronger and faster than normal men, they heal a lot faster and are harder to kill. The biggest thing is they can Wind Walk, which means they have the ability to fade into the wind and travel a great distance. They are called GTECH. The General told Cassandra he had no idea about the alien DNA but he did and he is keeping secrets from her. The General wants to make an army of super soldiers for the government. Michael Talor is one of the strongest GTECH soldiers. Michael is estranged from his family. The General picked him not only because of his record but his family makes weapons. The moment he sees Cassandra he is strongly attracted to her. When they find out they are lifemates Michael asks Cassandra to keep it a secret and let no one see the mate mark. Then the GTECH soldiers split into two groups. The Zodius soldiers who follow an evil man who just wants to rule the world and get rid of all humans and the Renegade soldiers who want to protect humans and fight the Zodius soldiers. When the split happed Michael went with the Zodius soldiers and leaves Cassandra. When Michael shows up in front of Cassandras after two years he tries to convince her that her father is not the man she believes him to be. And that he has been undercover for the past two years. When Cassandra is targeted by Zodius, will Michael be able to keep her safe? Or is he just using her to get to her father? This is Ms. Jones's first installment in her new Zodius series. This is a great start to an awesome science fiction romance series. There is plenty of action and romance to keep you glued to your seat. If the rest of the books are as good as this one then we are in for a treat. This series will be an auto buy for me.
