KT Grant offers up a fun and inviting contemporary romance designed for the everyday woman. Not very pleased with her curvy deliciousness, Mollie McGree is on a mission to lose weight and change her image. Of course, she does have an ulterior motive, and his name is Juan Carlos Mosino, the sexy masseuse she’s had her eye on. Molly has absolutely no clue that he’s already interested.
But someone else has been checking Mollie out during her workout, sweaty gym clothes and all. It’s all she can do to deal with the skinny ladies that are working out beside her, amazingly dry and gorgeous, when a very cute man engages her in conversation. Clearly he’s really interested in the playboy bunnies standing next to her, but being polite, she goes along with the discussion. But when Mollie finds out that she’s been talking to her best friend Suzy’s cousin, she’s shocked. Connor Bean has been living large on the West Coast with his own line of exercise equipment, workout gear and even his own energy bar. She’s going to kill Suzy for not telling her that Connor was in town and that he owned this gym! Now she’s 100% sure he couldn’t possibly be paying attention to her and horribly embarrassed by her looks, hastily says her goodbye before jetting off.
Ah…but Connor isn’t through with Mollie yet. He doesn’t understand why she left so abruptly, but he knows he has to find a way to get her on a date. He’s enthralled with her voluptuous body and kissable lips and wants to get to know her better. When his cousin reminds him of his uncle’s and aunt’s 35th wedding anniversary at their restaurant, he makes it a point to be there to see Mollie up close and personal. Perhaps he can convince her to give him just one small kiss. If Connor only knew what is going through Mollie’s mind right now, he’d be blushing for sure.
At the restaurant when Connor and Mollie connect, you can see the fireworks explode and there’s this immediate heat between them. Connor may seem too good to be true, but he is unbelievably romantic and the stuff fairy tales are made of. Sure he’s rich, and okay he’s a little famous, but he’s all about Mollie, and that’s what made me fall head over heels in love with this character. Imagine a guy who’s a fitness guru and totally turned on to a girl who may not be a size 2, flushing all of her insecurities away.
Mollie is determined and vivacious, and despite being attracted to Connor, she still has a goal in mind of what she wants to do, and appreciates his support. I like that she’s depicted as a realistic woman with a good head on her shoulders, and she’s pretty darn sensual, too. By the way, if you’re wondering what in the world happened to JC, well…who cares? This story is all about Mollie and Connor and it’s well worth reading. This is one of those old-fashioned love stories with a lot of steaminess added to the mix, that's hard to find nowadays. A well-written and delightful romance with substance, FOR THE LOVE OF MOLLIE definitely deserves a Top Pick.
