A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: PaulineMichael

Eve Langlais writes some of the most fantastic curvy heroines of all time and it is no secret that I love Rubenesque leading ladies. Her sassy humor and strong and sexy heroes have long moved her to the top of my must read pile. In Date With Death she outdoes herself. Marigold is one feisty lady and I can only wish I had her gumption, I also wish I had her date. Mictain is yummy, which is no surprise because Aztec and chocolate go hand in hand. The Devil blew me away, he is one fantastic guy. Every character in this short story is so engaging and I'd love to see most of them make a reappearance. I really only had one problem with this story and it was that it was over much too soon, I really didn't want to say goodbye. If you are looking for a paranormal short story that will make you sweat and giggle this one is a must have.

When Aztec god Mictain shows up to collect Marigold's soul for Satan his is stunned to discover she can actually see him. He is even more astonished by his attraction to her rounded body and her cleverness so when she invites him for dinner he accepts. Things seem to be going great until both Satan and Marigold's absentee father get involved. Can Death really find love?

Book Blurb for Date With Death

She never expected to fall in love with Death.

Marigold has a date with Death, but when she foils his plan to take her soul back to Hell, she invites him to dinner instead.

Mictain, an Aztec god who now collects the dead for Satan, is baffled at his interest in the plump human who can see him. Intrigued--and in lust--he can’t help pursuing her. But things are never simple when gods are involved.

Lucifer, Lord of Hell tries to warn him away and even Marigold’s long lost father decides to butt in. But, despite the opposition, things heat up between them, and Marigold learns, when Death comes calling, it’s best to get naked and invite him into bed—and her heart.
