A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Melinda
Ivory Black has seen a lot of children hurt. She has tried each day to find good homes for these lost children. Throughout her work none have really captured her heart like little Ashley. Here is a little girl who for some reason found herself as an orphan. Sure she has an uncle but he is a man who doesn’t even trust himself. Ivory knows that Jax Morgan will be a good father to Ashley yet she is unsure of what type a man he could be. He is macho and so sure of himself she is afraid of losing her heart to him. Just like a soldier he swept into her heart leaving his own mark on her. His kisses haunt her and the passion between them is still there. Can she care for a little girl like Ashley? Or will her heart get broken again.
Soldier Jax Morgan is a man who has seen many harsh things. Things no ordinary person should see in their lives. He’s killed people for a reason and knows no amount of praying can redeem him. Yet something about Ivory Black makes him wonder what if. Here is a woman who is making him wish for other things besides going to another country for a mission. Being with Ivory makes him feel for the first time like he has found a real home. With her warmth and love he feels safe which is unreal for a man like him. Being in charge of a little girl like Ashley scares him but he knows with Ivory anything is possible. Can he love two girls?
Ivory and Jax are two unlikely people who has found a love that is so rare. Tierney created these two who are so opposite of each other yet both are missing the same thing. Love between them is like a lost jewel that for some reason is hard for them to find. The romance between Jax and Ivory is a unique love that comes once in a lifetime for a man like Jax.
Teirney Medeiros sure knows how to pull on the heartstrings and write endearing characters. Ivory’s Addiction is definitely a highly recommended read from this reviewer.
