Family secrets are revealed, murder happens, sparks and jealousy fly and all around craziness ensues. McKenna Sutherland and her quirky cousins are the beneficiaries of her (supposed) deceased Uncle Sheldon’s will along with Thomas Hampton, a long time family friend, former lover of McKenna’s and now manager of one of Uncle Sheldon’s resorts. They all must spend one week together at Uncle Sheldon’s home in Texas to meet the requirements of the will. However as the true reasons they are there unravel, such as finding the villain among them who is trying to kill Uncle Sheldon and of course the attempt of reuniting the flames between McKenna and Thomas.
McKenna seems to be the focal point of the mayhem and the next on the killer’s list. Thomas’s tasks given to him by Sheldon are: discover who tried to kill him, protect McKenna from the killer and regain McKenna’s love and trust. Thomas broke his trust with McKenna and her family with betrayal five years earlier. Sheldon had forgiven him but will McKenna and the rest of the family?
Relative Danger is a fun book! This read was a true “whodunit” as most of the cast of characters have motives that would lead you to believe they could be the villain. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Relative Danger, which encompassed all the right elements of a most enjoyable read.
