A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Josie

Ellie is the wife of a cheating, wealthy jerk. When she discovers he's having an affair, and threatens to divorce him if he doesn't stop, he decides to take her up on the divorce offer and promptly throws her out.

For the first time in her life, Ellie is on her own, and after being a homemaker for twenty years she feels ill equipped to support herself and her son. Her biggest fear, however, is that her ex will try to take their son out of the country where she'll never be able to get custody.

Ellie and her son move in with her goofy mother. Then her husband's lover ends up dead and Ellie becomes the prime suspect.

Meanwhile, Ellie's best friend, a very successful businessperson, is pregnant. She's single and intends to stay that way.

One thing after another points to Ellie as the murderer and Ellie's hopes to both keep her son and stay out of prison fade fast...

I really loved The Estrogen Posse. It was a good, intricately plotted mystery. It was funny, and the characters where fully realized.

There were several colorful secondary characters that almost hijacked the story and, for me, a few unanswered questions, but overall, The Estrogen Posse was a well-paced, well-written thoroughly entertaining tale of justice served.
