A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Jessie

Reading this book has the reminiscent feeling of watching an updated version of “I Dream of Jeannie” with all the campiness galore. But even if you didn’t watch the TV series, I Dream of Genies is a light and breezy read for all.

The readers will be rooting for Eden to get released from the bottle and for her to find a way to live a normal life with Matt while being chased by the evil Faruq. Obo, the talking cat, is this book’s scene stealer as Eden’s only connection to the real world when she is trapped in the bottle and an unexpected hero in Eden and Matt’s happily ever after.

The book’s strength is that the story doesn’t take itself too seriously. Outside of the erotica genre, a book about a woman trapped in a bottle and only released to fulfill a man’s wishes might not appeal to today’s woman but the author uses humor with misfire wishes and talking cats to amuse the reader to the very last page.  Well done Judi Fennell!

Book Blurb for I Dream of Genies

"A new romance star is born." -Jill Barnett, New York Times bestselling author

Having a 2,000 year old magic genie fall right into your lap should be a good thing. At least, that's what down-on-his luck Matt Ewing thought. But Eden is no subservient fairy tale genie. Beautiful and independent, Eden isn't so keen on having to answer to yet another master. Then, after centuries of being alone, and against her better judgment, Eden suddenly finds herself in danger of falling for Matt. When she flips his already unstable world upside down, Matt is at his wits' end-if only he didn't find his inept genie so darn irresistible!
