White finally escapes from her step-mother and the place that has not been ‘home’ in a long time. In the woods she makes a steamy deal with seven men who take her in and protect her. Her nights are filled with eroticism she never dreamed possible and her days are straight out of her nightmares. She has to learn to trust these men if she wants to survive. Not an easy thing to do for a girl with serious trust issues, especially whenever she and Gordon are sparking off each other. White is a girl who wants to become self-reliant and wishes her step-mother would just let her be. She also wants Gordon who is more prickly and distrustful than she is. Thankfully there are six other men to help distract her until she can figure out how to get at least one of her wants. Gordon has a secret that makes him push people away when they get too close. He is attracted to White but he’s not ready to tell her his past or to take their attraction to the next level. This was a fun twist to the classic “Snow White” tale. In this story, White is tough and sassy female who takes control of her own destiny. The interplay between characters is interesting, especially in the chemistry between White and Gordon. I like how the heroine gets to explore her sexuality but that she has to work a little harder on Gordon. The step-mother is still evil and narcissistic but in a contemporary way. There is never a dull moment in the book and I found myself flipping through the pages to see what the next titillating scene would offer. Who needs Prince Charming when you can have seven strong and sexy men at your—fingertips?
