Kira has not lead a good life. Raised in a cage in the basement of her mother’s house until she was 14, she managed to escape when a member of the Brotherhood is trying to drive the “demon” from her. Spending the next 10 years living on the streets, she has spent all that time trying to find someone like her. She just wants a place to be accepted for who she is. The last thing she expects is to find out that when she finds the Jaguar people that she would be the one thing that they would never be willing to accept.
Sebastian is the Councils enforcer. His job is to track down problems and eliminate them. While on the trail of a renegade that is trying to bring the jaguar people into the public’s eye, he comes across a scent that just entices him beyond anything in his past. Doing the exact opposite of what he knows he should do, he protects the woman that has his blood on fire.
Assassin’s Kiss is book one of the Jaguar Assassins Series and written by Paris Brandon, who I am sad to say I had never heard of before. This storyline really drew my attention as it is written in a way that will keep you on your toes from page one. Personally, I had a hard time putting it down. I’m going to be on the lookout for more books in this series.
