A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: BusyMom
I loved the premise of this book…a living statue watching over the woman he loves. Erac being a literal stone man was a fantastic concept and had the author kept it that, the short tale would have been great. As it was, a little too much information was crammed into a very short time. The sudden introduction of the heroine's father, a man she never met before, at the same as Erac's awakening from his curse of stone, took away from her first meeting with both of them. I think the author should have spaced out those events and paced the info so as to not overwhelm the reader.
The love scenes were scorching; one on one, a threesome where the focus was Vena, then a guy guy scene where she is more a voyeur. Very hot. I could have done with less cheesy dialogue however. But damn when those boys go at it, watch out.
If you're looking for quick titillation, then this piece will do the trick.
