Eve Langlais' Hybrid Misfit was a fun read for me. Thanks to government testing and engineering, Beth, a.k.a Trixi, is a hybrid succubus hybrid. After a not-so-pleasant meeting with some of her brothers from the labs, Beth is saved by Simon, a huge protector with a soft spot for Beth. He takes her home so she can recuperate in peace. When she wakes, she meets Simon's best friend, Gene, another super-hot supernatural. Simon, Beth and Gene quickly join forces in order to protect Beth's very existence. She is an undesirable and both heaven and hell will see to her extinction. Simon and Gene appeal to other misfits to help protect Beth. I really enjoyed the interaction between Beth and her men as well as her interaction with her friends who are also misfits. Beth was willing to kick butt and take names. Langlais pens a fun but full of action tale that encompasses all sorts of supernaturals which is a fun read.
