A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: AmyC
Victorian England is a man's world. And no one knows this better than Phillipa Jones who must fight society's conventions along with chauvinistic ship captains and a greedy yet undeniably handsome Viscount to keep her late husband's shipping business afloat.
Unfortunately, one moment of weakness and a case of mistaken identities will place her in a compromising position, which will see everything she's worked for come to ruins including her reputation.
I was pleasantly surprised by Ms. Brown’s MERRY WIDOW. I read in the author’s note that this was her first attempt at writing historical erotic fiction, well I say bravo. I hope we can see more historical erotic pieces from you Ms. Brown.
The sex, desire and lust between Phillipa and Reggie just leapt off the pages. I was also pleasantly surprised to learn it was an older woman younger man romance. I quite like those.
I couldn’t put the book down, and if I had one complaint I wished it was longer.
If you like Victorian with eroticism then you’ll love MERRY WIDOW.
