Of Poseidon

Anna FREAKING Banks, WHERE have you been all my life?

One thing is for certain: the YA authors these days have a LOT to live up to. The good news is, we have authors like Anna Banks for that.

Within the first few pages, the main characters' friend gets devoured by a shark, the main character orders that shark away (too late, hon.), and then a guy we just met turns into a fish. Yeah, that's right. Just imagine someone sitting down reading this: eyes wide, mouth open, forgetting to breathe. That's where I was, at least.

This author took me to a new dimension. But, uh, I feel like she forgot me and left me there. Or, maybe the ship left without me because I fainted for lack of air. Yeah, that's what happened.

I loved every whisper and every word--Ms. Banks is not an author to be messed with, because LET ME TELL YOU: SHE DOES NOT MESS AROUND.

These characters are real and anyone who tells me they're not obviously hasn't read the book. Don't believe me? HAVE YOU READ THE BOOK? NO? Huh. I'm SHOCKED.

This book is action-packed with characters that will make you swoon, WITHOUT A DOUBT.

Did I mention the witty dialogue? Well, honestly, I've never read a book that made me laugh so hard, so often. But that's just one of the things that makes Of Poseidon the awesomeness that it is.

Book Blurb for Of Poseidon

Although their connection is immediate and powerful, Galen's not fully convinced that Emma's the one he's been looking for. That is, until a deadly encounter with a shark proves  that Emma and her Gift may be the only thing that can save his kingdom. He needs her help--no matter what the risk.
