A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Barb

This was a very exciting book. I could not put it down because every page turn promised a new twist or turn. Jim Blessing, while being a drifter, had a strong sense of duty and a big heart. He acted as though he was big and tough. Although he was that, he also exuded a sort of charm. Maria Alvarez was a beautiful young girl saddled with insurmountable problems and because of that used extraordinary means to overcome them. I would think that this book would be great if turned into a TV movie. There was enough action to keep one interested throughout the book. I was surprised at the ending, but pleasantly so a couple of pages later. I would recommend this story to anyone enjoying books with a western theme.

Book Blurb for Blessings, Bullets and Bad Bad Men

Jim Blessing, thirty-eight year old gunfighter and drifter rides into a sleepy border town in New Mexican Territory, thirsty, prosperous and single. He wakes up the next morning hung over, broke and married to a beautiful, young Spanish aristocrat and he can’t remember how he got that way.

Then someone starts shooting at him. “I’ve been married, robbed and shot at and it ain’t even noon yet.’’

After that, his luck got to runnin’ kind of muddy. Extensively researched, the accurate, colorful details of locale, speech and custom contribute to a vivid sense of place and to original, skillfully drawn characters.
